All of our college tags in AL (dozens of them, since we take as much money as we can) have the logo off to the left, then the main text uncluttered. It works pretty well, but you’re limited to 5 characters because of it. Standard plates are 7.

We have several other ones which are like that (the Mountain Lion Conservation plates on my Alfa, for example) but the Husker ones have always been 7
